After meeting with his family, Twig asks to stay alongside Otus and Alphonse (Geddy having thrown a fit when Twig arrived and teleported back to Vellie) and befriends Otus. Later in the game, after being betrayed by Dirk, Twig realizes he was doing something bad by helping the pirates and makes a deal with Otus to help the owl get out of the ice cavern if he helped him get home. In the beginning of the game, Twig is the 'troublemaker' in Vellie, and Otus and Geddy chase him down in a small cavern before finding the teleportation relic. Otus doesn't start the game on a very good footing with Twig. He is shown to have a deep respect and faith in both his companions, encouraging them and helping them make decisions. He stays alongside Otus throughout the rest of the game, referring to both Otus and Geddy with 'Master Geddy' and 'Master Otus'. Having agreed to help Alphonse out, after he was separated from Dirk, The former-pirate is coerced into joining Otus' side as a companion by Geddy. He believes anything Otus is involved in will turn out for the worst, and is not subtle in showing this. He does not trust Otus to do a good job, and takes every opportunity to reprimand him. Asio is strict and cold towards Otus and shows dislike of Otus in every in-game interaction.
